Leroy seems to be a good little boy and he loves counting the flowers on he’s
bedroom wallpaper. Every morning he always counts something. The most
attractive thing about the book is the front cover because you could tell straight
away that Leroy's head is going to explode with numbers.

The cover says that Leroy is a maths geek and he always doing maths. Every hour every minutes of the day Leroy doing maths or something connected to maths. I would dedicate the book to a maths alcoholic who can’t get enough of maths as this the right book for them. It is a very good book. The marks I would give the book are 10 out of 10.

Counting on Leroy was created by Steve Kills and Hilary Koll. It’s about a boy called Leroy Stone who is only good at maths and is terrible with everything else . There is also a bully named Lee Roystone who is good at everything, everyone likes him and always call Leroy number mumbler.
One day Leory gets elected for a TV quiz show by mistake. Will he a fool of himself and his school? Read the book to find out! Tue 1st Jul 2008

Leroy is a kind boy but the people in his class are so horrendous that Leroy is very scared of a boy called Lee Roystone. Leroy is asked to go on a show that involves maths and as I said earlier he is a maths fanatic. The headmaster of Leroy’s school choose Leroy because the quiz is about maths but on the other hand Lee is absolutely appalled about this because he thinks he is so good at all the subjects in the school. I would give the book 10/10 because I like maths and for all you math fans out there you should choose this book because you like maths too. In the book there are some quiz questions you can ask your friends e.g. page 16.

Counting on Leroy is a thrilling and entertaining book. Leroy is a maths obsessed 11-year-old boy who counts anything from his age to how many objects are on his bedroom wallpaper. One day he gets chosen to be on a television quiz show and Lee, the most popular boy in the class, thinks it all a mix up and is not so happy about this.

Once on the show, Leroy thinks he’s got no chance but when his maths skills of counting start to kick in he finds himself on the final round. The question is will he win?

I recommend this book to maths lovers and anyone who likes funny short stories. I enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end and therefore, giving it 10/10.

It's about a boy called Leroy Stone who is a complete maths geek. He loves numbers and counts anything that can be counted.

He has an enemy called Lee Roystone ( haha! they both have the same name!) who is better than him at everything but maths! Lee picks on Leroy and calls him a maths freak. Leroy doesn't like it.

But When Leroy's school is chosen for a competition who will be picked to compete, Lee Roystone or Leroy Stone...?

Read this book if you want to find out! I give this book a mark of 8/10.

Wow! This book was brillant. The reason I say this is because it has a lot of maths facts, for example if you put 376006 in a calculator and turn it upside down it says Google.

I also like the way Leroy talks about different subjects and links it with maths. He has a maths diary which he writes in every morning and never has a day with out it.

He is not good much at anything, especially in academic subject like english and spelling but he is brilliant in math.He represented their school in a TV QUIZ. He answered some questions which is not about numbers in a funny and not in a serious way by using or thinking the technic of counting, adding, multipying, numbers and also some answers got from his math diary until he gave the unexpected correct answer. This book is a very engaging and enjoyable story, that makes you want to read on and on till the end.

The book is very imaginative, because it is not every day that you get a maths genius who is completely useless at everything else.

The story was written by two authors that I have not read before but I think that they a great joint effort that produced a really good book.

Counting On Leroy is a enthralling and captivating story that kept me on the egde of my sofa from the beginning to end.

If you are looking for a story with humour and excitment then this is the story for you.

Leroy Stone is a maths mastermind, who knows virtually everthing there is to know about Maths.

His rival Lee Roystone (yes Lee Roystone) is one of the best students in the school.

Out of nowhere Leroy is given a chance to be on T.V. on a quiz and wannabe superstar Lee Roystone is clarly jealous.
things go expectedly wrong (well there's a shocker).

Fourtuanlty Leroy puls it out of he bag and wins.

10 out of 10

In my point of view, this is a magnificent book. It's about a 11 year old boy called Leroy Stone. He is abosolutely crazy about numbers. Everything in his life has to be about numbers, including the patterns on the wallpaper in his bedroom.

Leroy has a new principal in his school. His name is Mr Woodword. There is a quiz show and one student must represent the school. Mr. Woodword picks Leroy Stone, but everyone thinks he got mixed up with Lee Roystone.

They all rated the book as a 10.
Counting on Leroy was BRILLIANT.
One of my favourite problems in the book was.
Choose any 2 digit number between 20,
Say you choose 45
add the 2 digits together,
4+ 5 =9
Then add the number you started with to the answer you got,
45+9=54
Then add the 54 together,
5+4=9
The answer will always be 9 try it out see if the book is right.

What I liked about this book when Leroy loved his maths and numbers. When he went to this place it was called Master Mind. Leroy didn't get the first quiz right he didn't win on the first round. On the second round he won it because he practise his numbers and maths. So thats what i like about it when he won in the master round.

So far we have enjoyed reading this book which is packed with fun maths facts. This book makes people who don't like maths that much soon learn to love it.

The funny thing about this book is that there are two characters with familiar names:

Leroy Stone and Lee Roystone.

Their names are familiar but they are both enimies.

Here are some maths facts:
The word four has 4 letters the same amout of letters as the number

A googol is a 1 with 100 zeros followed by it.

Counting On Leroy

This book had a very boring opening because it started with numbers.

However it began to really hook me into the plot because it was about a boy called Leroy, he says he loves maths but all he can do in maths is numbers and it isn’t easy numbers they are really hard numbers. In a way I feel really sorry for Leroy because he gets put under pressure, for a master quiz and all he knows is maths and numbers and it really scared him because he had to study for ages. I recommend it to people that like maths.

From my own point of view, I think that "Counting on Leroy" is an imaginative, radiant book, this gob-smacking book is about a little lad, looking about the age of 11 who is obsessed onto mathematics. He gets chosen to go on a Tv game show and is astounded he got picked over his arch rival Lee Roystone who is the most favourite of all the children in the school. He is worried sick and is scared because he is only a genius at maths. On the other hand Lee Roystone is good at everything. Read on and find out who wins the whole TV show!

Counting On Leroy is a very exciting book, I would give alot away about the story if I started to write about it because it's really short book. I liked the book alot but I think that it could have explained things abit more and used better vocabularys - the words were not very exciting I still liked the book however. I hope people enjoy this book as much as I did.
Although there aren't many characters in this story theres only about 7:
-Leroy Stone
-Lee Roystone
-Other children in school
-Principle Wood (or something like that)
-Leroy's mother
-The presenter on the quiz show
-Other children on the quiz show
The story is very easy to understand. Alot of books with about 20 characters are hard to understand, that is also why I liked this book because it was easy to understand.
I recommend this book to children above the age of 9.
The main character in the story is a boy called Leroy he is hopeless in everything except maths, Leroy gets mistaken and has to go on a quiz show, what will happen? Tue 10th Jun 2008

There were many things to do and to enjoy , On one hand, if you don't like this book then that is not my problem it is yours but on the other hand for those who do enjoy it means you have a mind of a mathematician.
Also, Leroy has got himself into a big situation but do you think he can he get himself out..........

This book is a great read for those who enjoy maths. It shows you the stress of being good at only one subject and awful at the rest. Leroy Roystone is bullied at school for, his like of maths by his enemy Lee Roystone. As if having similar names is not enough, the new head mixes thier names up for an important compettion! Leroy dreads having to go to this compettion, since he lives, breathes and eats maths only. But, a suprise is instore.

Sitting in that dreaded mastermind seat, Leroy gets the first question wrong! He thinks his completly blown it, until he finds out that all the rest of the questions are based on maths. He answers all his questions correctly, completly demolishing his opponent and taking the trophy for his school!

So far out of the six books, we think that this book is the most interesting because the book is about a boy who likes maths and so do I. I like the book even though its kind of ridiculous in some parts. Iwant to say thanks to the author he really did a great job. In my point of view he should make more books, If I knew the author, i will praise him so much.

Because I love Maths and the parts that are abousutely just funny , the parts that whenever he does any subject he includes numbers which annoys the teacher.I think that you should write a part two because when I read Chapter 8, which is at the end of the book, I reallllllly got into it which made me to read more.

When I saw the ending, I thought that It will go on and on and on but
It did not. When i saw the next page which was blank, I thought dat somthing exciting is going to happenbut then the story ended which didn't make me feel interested anymore. Thu 22nd May 2008

I thought that it was a fantastic book although it was a bit silly.
I also thought that Leroy was crazy about maths and he was a bit funny !
I will present this book to children who LOVE MATHS!
This book has a very intresting begining which would make you read on.
I belive there should be a part 2 of Counting on Leroy.

What I dislike about this book is that it was a bit to boring at the last page .
Q:Why didn't you add more chapters in the book?
Q:Can you please write part 2 of Counting on Leroy?

This is a BRILLIANT book. i enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. I chose the book because of its crazy cover. I really liked the character Leroy Stone because he was maths mad. The book is quite confusing baecause the two boys (Leroy Stone and Lee Roystone) have similar names.
Overall i loved this book and i would recommend this book to anybody who loves mathematics. Thu 22nd May 2008

This book is really funny. The reason why it is so funny is because the new headteacher gets mixed up with Leroy Stone and Lee Roystone. So Leroy Stone has to go to a bbc quiz thing and answer questions. He justs guests and wins the quiz. Thu 22nd May 2008

I thought counting on leroy was brilliant because he made up a load of problem questions then when leroy went to the quiz he knew all the questions that he made up then matched the question to it. Wed 21st May 2008

This book is about a boy named Leroy and the fact he loves NUMBERS!!! He is so in love with numbers that in a english lesson he brings up maths. In a football games he forgets to shoot because he is thinking about maths, the same with history he changes it into numbers its CRAZY! In between the book he encounters a challenge and that challenge is Lee. He is the smartest boy in the school and he hates Leroy. Leroy loves maths, its just everything else that he finds hard but Lee finds it easy. When there is 1 TV quiz show spot for the smartest boy in the school was it going to be Leroy or was it Lee? Want to find out the rest? READ THE BOOK!! Tue 20th May 2008
